A human touch – photo prompt and editing
It wasn’t a good day. Chilled, completely overcast, not ideal for the beach photo shoot I was hoping for. But the day was set aside to shoot some images for The Studio Online prompt – A human touch.
Each prompt from The Studio has transformed my thinking process. This simple thing, a suggested theme, makes such an impact on my work. It’s amazing!
(I must also mention here that the encouragement and inspiration from the studio community makes a huge impact as well.)
Anyway, I had no idea what we were going to do. Well, I’ll figure it out when I get there. Arriving at my friends home, WOW!, there it was. A most beautiful stone wall with cascading climbing hydrangea in full bloom. Why hadn’t I noticed it before?
The flat overcast light really made for some dreamy, moody images.
I like the out of focus look of this one. What do you think? Kind of cool, huh!?
All of the above images were edited with the kk_Melodic preset and a low opacity screen of the kk_Aulneau texture.
These two came out pretty good. Both taken outdoors with that same overcast light.
Then we opted for a few indoor shots.
This image did not get an edit. Shot is right out of camera. I thought the backlight was wonderful. And the focus was right on her hand, perfect for the prompt.
But I think these last few are are cool! Just for fun!!
Can’t be too serious about the whole thing after all.
