Choosing clothing for your lifestyle photo shoot
When choosing a wardrobe for your photo shoot, keep in mind what flatters you personally. Generally, a soft neckline either v-neck or scoop neck works well for a top, and a fabric that lays away from the skin a bit. A top with sleeves works better than sleeveless. Solids work the best as patterns can detract from your face. Do not choose very bright colors. Choose white, green, blue, pink, black or a color that compliments your skin tone. Jewel tones work better than flesh tones. If your photo shoot will be outdoors, think of colors that will compliment the surroundings. Bring several changes of clothing. Layering works well too.
Accessories can be very helpful. Soft scarves both large and smaller ones and a hat or two would be great. The photo shoot is about you and your natural beauty, don’t over accessorize or be too trendy.
Feel free to bring additional clothing that will create a dreamy look or picture you doing what you love. Be creative!
Natural looking make-up look is best. Bring it along.
Paint toes and fingernails.
Bring brush or comb and hairspray.
Wear colored lip gloss.
Most of all come relaxed and be yourself! You will not necessarily need to ‘pose.’ Don’t be afraid to move around, pick up things, look around.
