How did the color blue get such a bad rap?
Singing the blues, blue Monday, blue Sunday, Pablo Picasso’s blue period, the blue envelope, cool blue, and Blue Meanies – all not so positive.
But the color blue is ‘truly’ an awesome color (pun intended).
A sense of calm and peace can easily be had when staring straight up at the sky, if only for a minute. Many flock to the ocean to drink in delightful shades of blue for the ultimate in color therapy. And electric blue – the name elicits feelings of excitement, neon, lightening flash.
When I caught sight of an explosion of puffy blue hydrangeas at my moms house in Connecticut, I was so elated! Quite giddy in fact! Each and every nuance of the color blue was so thrilling! I couldn’t wait for golden hour to run outside and capture the truest of blue through my lens, clear blue, in all it’s glorious detail.
Benjamin bunny was kind enough to pose just long enough for me to get this sweet little shot. There are so many of these little guys bopping along in the grass in my moms neighborhood.
Blue mood? Not at all! Had me singing the Happy Blues!! (Make sure to check out this song by Ella Fitzgerald, guaranteed to get you up out of your chair.)
